Backlog

Program note: due to the aforementioned colic, we’ve fallen a little behind with the daily photos. Not to worry, we’ve taken tons of pictures; I just haven’t had time to edit and upload them. I’ll be working on back-filling them over the next few days, so if you don’t subscribe through an RSS reader, you might want to scroll down so as not to miss a single scintillating picture.

Don’t get too discouraged. Eric had colic and, like Ellie, seemed to quiet only when feeding or in his hang-cranked swing (alas, he never did like to sleep much). I credit my enormous biceps to the continuous effort to keep the bloody thing moving. As soon as he became just marginally mobile, the screams stopped, and a smiling, happy, charming baby emerged (note, I did not include “quiet” in that list, but at least he wasn’t screaming). I don’t remember exactly how old he was (after all, it was 45 years ago), but know it couldn’t have been too long since I survived. Just hang in there. Change will come much faster than you can believe.
